The kitchen

Rosa cooks the food she grew up with.

Rosa Mitchell was born in Sicily and has been feeding Melbourne for decades. The cooking here is the kind you’d be given at her table: wholesome, unhurried, built on what the growers close to home are picking this week.

Sicily runs through everything — in the sardines and the agrodolce, in the nero d’Avola on the list, in the cannoli.

Reservations are recommended. Tables of eight and over are looked after separately.
